Our values, our principles, these are the things that we feel give us purpose and meaning. The things that make us feel sure. When pillars and foundations within our society give way, then we need an anchor.

We can be sure of God. We can always trust Him. We can trust Him completely even when everything else is being tossed around. Our anchors must not rest on Him. But they must be hooked onto Him. He will hold us through the storms.
