WHEN PEOPLE FAIL US

One of the storms of life we all face is when people lets us down or fail us. When people do not live up to our expectations.  Or they do the unimaginable.  It can be family, friends, colleagues, people of influence or those we hold in high esteem.
We all face this from time to time.  We need to know we have an anchor.  Something connected to something firm and solid.

WHEN WE THINK THAT GOD HAS FAILED US

Sometimes when things have gone wrong we can think that God has deserted us.  Dr. James Dobson of FOCUS ON THE FAMILY calls this the betrayal barrier.  When we think that even God has let us down.
This is a dangerous position.  It is like being in a storm in a ship close to the rocks and then deciding it would be better to pull up the anchor.  This would be a fatal decision.  We may think like this but we must never pull up the anchor.
