A few weeks ago I felt the Lord gave me the word RELIEF. Many people are feeling challenged and down-hearted. In the midst of all of this I sense the Lord is saying that He is going to bring relief. This relief can come in many forms and would vary from person to person and from situation to situation. Relief is not like winning the jackpot, but relief is a change in conditions or circumstances so that it is easier to carry the load.
RELIEF – THE LOAD IS LIGHTER.
We all carry loads/burdens with us in life. Especially now! The source of these loads can result from almost any and every circumstance in life. The loads we carry can, with time, become oppressive, painful or distressing. I believe that God wants to come and either remove or lighten or relieve that load. We were never meant to carry it alone. Let’s expect that God is going to step into our situation and circumstances and bring the relief we need.
Matthew 11:28 – 30 ‘Come to Me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.’
RELIEF – CALL IN THE TROOPS!
During times of war, sections of the army would fight the war in certain regions. As the battle continued the troops would become battle weary and supplies would run low. They would send for backup and another group would arrive to assist. The new group would be called the relief. This is what you would call military assistance to an endangered post or force. Do you feel like your situation is an ‘endangered post’ or do you feel like you are facing forces that are just too strong for you to be able to contend with? God wants to send in the backup, the relief support so that we do not need to fight this battle on our own.
2 Chronicles 20:17 ‘You shall not need to fight in this battle; take your positions, stand still, and see the deliverance of the Lord who is with you.’
Remember – HE is your relief.
