Prayer has always interested me. Prayer is not a specific ritual. Prayer is not a formality. Prayer is communion with God. It should be a living extension to our relationship with God. The Holy Spirit is the most important person in prayer. Communicating with God is vital if we are going to touch Him. That is why it is important.
The disciples had seen Jesus praying. They wanted to be taught how to pray
Luke 11:1 One day Jesus was praying in a certain place. When he finished, one of his disciples said to him, “Lord, teach us to pray”
This is a good request. Sometimes our concepts of prayer is what generations and tradition have passed to us. The disciples wanted to be taught by Jesus. And they asked Him to do just that. And He did.
