The Holy Spirit causes us to grow. We all need to grow and to experience growth in our lives. Growth can mean progress. But is can also mean that we can be fruitful. Producing fruit is another vital aspect of our Christian lives.

John 6:63 ‘The Spirit gives life; the flesh counts for nothing. The words I have spoken to you are spirit and they are life.’ (NIV)

There is more to life than mere existence. Life is meant to be a growth experience. The Holy Spirit makes this possible. The Holy Spirit wants to inspire us with courage, spirit, and hope.  The Holy Spirit wants to spur us on to greater things in Him.  The Holy Spirit wants to stimulate us on to greater depths.  The Holy Spirit wants to help us.

Acts 9:31 The believers learned how to walk in the fear of the Lord and in the comfort of the Holy Spirit.

Comfort is a form of encouragement. Do you need encouragement and comfort today?  The Holy Spirit wants to encourage and comfort you and me.
