Revelation is what is required to grasp this. Samuel understood this:
2 Samuel 23:3 ‘The God of Israel spoke, the Rock of Israel said to me…..’
Psalm 61:2 I call as my heart grows faint (when my heart is overwhelmed); lead me to the rock that is higher than I.
Psalm 78:35 ‘Then they remembered that God was their rock, that God Most High was their redeemer.’
Keep your eyes fixed on the Rock. He is your rock when you have hit rock-bottom. Build your life on the Rock. Stay close to the Rock. Find your fulfillment in the Rock. There is no rock like our God. Operate from the security of the Rock. Be amazed at your great Rock. On Christ the Solid Rock I stand. All other ground is sinking sand!
