LET’S GET REAL!
What is it that motivates you? There are so many things that act as motivating forces of life. Here are just a few: beauty, health, money, power, influence, position, success, title, materialism, control and approval.
Let’s take a look at what the Bible says:
Ecclesiastes 4:4 Then I observed that most people are motivated to success by their envy of their neighbours.
This is the whole aspect of keeping up with the Jones’s. What an indictment! The Bible comments on this.
James 3:15 For jealousy and selfishness are not God’s kind of wisdom. Such things are earthly, unspiritual, and motivated by the Devil.
The issue is that motives are deceptive. We must not allow these things to motivate us. God is ready and willing to help us and change our hearts.
