Sin is a strong force. Sin is not only bad things that we do, it is also a power that begins to take hold over our lives and ultimately control us. God wants us to experience His power in us to overcome the habit of sin. This results in victory over the power of sin. This is for you and me.
Satan harasses us in many different ways. He wants to make life as difficult as possible.
1 Peter 5:8 Be careful—watch out for attacks from Satan, your great enemy. He prowls around like a hungry, roaring lion, looking for some victim to tear apart.
Here are some of the ways he harasses us.
- He ties to put fear on us
- He tries to break down our self esteem
- He constantly accuses us
- He constantly tempts us to sin
- He lies to us
Jesus wants to give us the victory.
