Many of us in our past lives were entangled in all sorts of problems and hassles, which generally came our way in one of three ways.
1. Through HURTS we sustained in the past!
For example, you might have been an unwanted pregnancy and you have always felt rejection. Or, you may have battled at school and as a result always felt inferior. OR, you may have grown up in great need and as a result have been overtaken by a poverty syndrome. Or, you may have been sexually molested as a child and carried the scar with you ever since. Many more examples could be added!
2. Through BONDAGES we opened ourselves up to in the past!
For example, you may have opened yourself up to pornography in the past and you are unable to remove those images from your mind. Or, you may have opened yourself to some sort of addiction from which you cannot break free, like nicotine, drugs or alcohol. You may have engaged in an immoral life and become bound to thought patterns that come from that life. Or, you may have opened yourself up to the occult, witchcraft, ancestral worship or even to satanism and you find it extremely hard to break free from these bondages.
Many more examples could be added.
3. Through CURSES that are on us, because of our own actions, or that have been placed on us or brought on us by others!
For example, you may have lived in complete disobedience to God and brought on yourself the curses that are listed in the Bible in Deuteronomy 28:15 – 48. Or, your parents or grand parents may have broken the commandment of God and been involved in some form of idolatry or other, and incurred a BLOOD-LINE CURSE!
Deuteronomy 5:8 “You shall not make for yourself any carved image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth; 9 You shall not bow down to them nor serve them. For I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children to the third and fourth generations of those who hate Me,10 But showing mercy to thousands, to those who love Me and keep My commandments.”
