Matthew 1:21
‘She will give birth to a Son, and you are to give Him the Name Jesus, because He will save His people from their sins.’
– Christmas is far more than just the giving and receiving of gifts.
– His Name, Jesus, means ‘God saves’ and that is why we celebrate.
– Christmas is a picture of God extending His hand of salvation to us.
– Take hold of the personal aspect of Christmas, His saving power is for you.
Prayer: Lord, thank You for sending Your Son to be my Lord and my Saviour. I open up the door of my heart and I receive Your Son as the great gift that You have given me. May my life never be the same again as I remember how You stepped in to save and rescue me. Amen.
