WHEN JESUS COMES TO LIVE IN YOU, HE GIVES YOU THE GIFT OF ETERNAL LIFE!
That’s exactly what the Bible says:

1 John 5:11-13 “And this is the testimony: that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son.  He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life.  These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may continue  to believe in the name of the Son of God.”

Imagine I am holding up a wristwatch and that this watch is a symbol of eternal life. Then, imagine that I am holding up my open hand and that I am suggesting that my  hand is an illustration of Jesus. I then take the watch and place it in my hand and close my hand around the watch. This says two things:
[1] In my hand is a watch.
[2] In Jesus is eternal life!

1 John 5:11  “…God has given us eternal life and this life is in His Son [in Jesus].”

Going back to the illustration of the hand and the watch, if I were to take this hand which symbolizes Jesus with the watch which symbolises eternal life and I were to be able to slip my hand into my heart, what could I say I have on my heart?
I could then say that I have both Jesus and eternal life in me!
Look at verse 12 and see that that is exactly what it says!
“He who has the Son has life; … “, and of course the reverse also applies,
“.. he who does not have the Son of God does not have life.“

• Do you have Jesus living in you?
• What kind of life did He give you when He came to live in you?
• Do you have eternal life?
• If you died now, where would you go? To heaven or hell?

What would you say to somebody who says it is impossible to know  you have eternal life?  The answer to this question is found in 1 John 5:13:

“These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, THAT YOU MAY KNOW THAT YOU HAVE ETERNAL LIFE, and that you may continue to believe in the name of the Son of God.“

DECLARE THE FOLLOWING FACT
I declare that I have confessed and repented of my sin and I have been forgiven and cleansed by the blood of Jesus Christ. I have invited Jesus to come and live in me and as a result I can declare that I am a child of God!  When Jesus came to live in me He gave me eternal life and when I die I will go to heaven to be with Christ forever. Out of thankfulness I declare that by God’s grace I will serve Him and live for Him for the rest of my life. He gave everything for me and I give my all to Him.
