THE RESULT OF KNOWING THE COMFORT OF GOD
When we have known and experienced God’s comfort we in turn can show comfort to others.
2 Corinthians 1:4 And why does He do this? So that when others are troubled, needing our sympathy and encouragement, we can pass on to them this same help and comfort God has given us.
Do you know anyone who needs comfort right now? Perhaps you can be the source of comfort that that person needs. As God’s comfort is real in our lives we can pass this comfort on to others.
1 Thessalonians 5:14 Dear brothers, warn those who are lazy, comfort those who are frightened, take tender care of those who are weak, and be patient with everyone.
THE COMFORT OF GOD’S WORD.
I have found God’s word, the Bible, to be a great source of comfort in my life. As God has given me His promises, they have been a great source of strength and comfort in my life.
Psalm 119:52 From my earliest youth I have tried to obey You; Your Word has been my comfort.
If God has given you promises, hold onto them. Don’t let them go. Let God’s word be a source of comfort and strength in your life.
THE PRAYER
Here is my prayer for you.
2 Thessalonians 2:16-17 May our Lord Jesus Christ Himself and God our Father, who has loved us and given us everlasting comfort and hope, which we don’t deserve, comfort your hearts with all comfort, and help you in every good thing you say and do.
Here is a prayer you can pray for yourself.
Psalm 119:76 Now let Your loving-kindness comfort me, just as You promised.
We need to learn to walk, as a lifestyle, in the comfort that God offers.
Acts 9:31 The believers learned how to walk in the fear of the Lord and in the comfort of the Holy Spirit.
May you know the comfort of God in your life!
