I believe that God wants us to begin to use our spiritual senses so that we can begin to experience more of what God has for us.
I believe that God wants us to graduate from slaves and servant to become grown-up sons of God. As a result we will be led by the Holy Spirit.

Romans 8:14 For all who are led by the Spirit of God are sons (the grown up sons) of God.

From this point on anything can happen.  An example is the story of Philip. Acts 8:26-40
This calls for a change in our focus.  We are so completely focused on the physical world around us.  To the point where it becomes the only reality we know.  God wants to make this new dimension real to you and to me.  The focus of your heart and mind is important to God.

Colossians 3:1-2 Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God. 2 Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things.

Here we are called to set our hearts and minds on things above and to shift our focus off of earthly things.
