Release your disappointments

Daily Thought

Your Word for 20 December 2024

Isaiah 9:6
‘For a Child is born to us, a Son is given to us. He will be called: Wonderful Counsellor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.’

Disappointed
After forgiveness, the next important step is to release. I am reminded of that famous statement: ‘We will forgive but we will never forget’.  Right there is the greatest obstacle in dealing with and getting over disappointment.  We need to release those who have hurt us and get to point where we can even bless them.

Jeremiah 34:17 Therefore, says the Lord, because you will not listen to me and release them, I will release you to the power of death by war and famine and disease.

The moment we release our disappointment we can experience release in our own lives to be able to move on. For the Bible tells us that we will reap what we have sown.
