OUR FAITH GETS TESTED
This is perhaps the difficult part. Not only does God give us a measure of faith, He then proceeds to allow that faith to be tested.
1 Peter 1:7 These trials are only to test your faith, to see whether or not it is strong and pure. It is being tested as fire tests gold and purifies it—and your faith is far more precious to God than mere gold; so if your faith remains strong after being tried in the test tube of fiery trials, it will bring you much praise and glory and honor on the day of his return.
The great personalities of the Bible experienced this testing of their faith. We only have to think of people like Noah and Abraham to see this principle in action.
Romans 4:9 Abraham’s faith was credited to him as righteousness.
BECAUSE OF OUR FAITH WE ARE DIFFERENT
True faith makes us different. I see many people who call Themselves Christians who have very little joy in their hearts and in essence are not much better than the average ordinary citizen who is endeavouring to be a ‘good’ person.I believe that God is looking for more than this. True faith makes us different. It does not breed complacency and passiveness. It causes us to become the dynamic Christians we were meant to be. True faith even brings changes to the things we are interested in. It starts on the inside and changes us on the outside.
