We all need God. We all have areas in which we are trusting God. Sometimes we end up waiting for God to come through for us. These can be difficult and frustrating times. However, God seems to place a high regard on our ability to wait.
What does it mean to wait? To live in a place of expectation. To remain stationary in readiness or expectation. To look forward expectantly. To hold back expectantly and be ready and available. It is this living in a place of expectation that excites me.
Many things can happen as and when we wait. Waiting is not always easy but there is ample reason to believe it will be worth it. God wants to give strength to those who wait.
Isaiah 40:29-31 He gives power to the tired and worn out, and strength to the weak. Even the youths shall be exhausted, and the young men will all give up. But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength. They shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.
In the life we live we need this strengthening power that only God can give us.
