When we meet Jesus as our Saviour and make Him our Lord, He immediately begins to establish His lordship over every area of our lives. Because of Who He is, He has the right to be Lord of our decisions, our speech, our thought lives, our family lives and our finances.

A basic principle that we need to accept right at the outset is that God is the owner of all things and we are stewards accountable to God for all He has given us. We are therefore in a Divine-human partnership, with God as the Senior Partner. We are to recognise His ownership of our person, our powers and our possessions. We are to use these for the advancement of God’s kingdom in the world.
