We sing the song I SURRENDER ALL! But do we mean it and do we do it? God is looking for total surrender, in humbleness and willingness. I believe that Jesus set the example for us. At the time of His greatest challenge He prayed an awesome prayer.

Luke 22:42 “Father, if You are willing, please take this cup of suffering away from Me. Yet I want Your will to be done, not Mine.”

This attitude of ‘I WANT YOUR WILL TO BE DONE, NOT MINE!’ should be our attitude as well. Jesus also did what His Father did.

John 5:19 Jesus gave them this answer: ‘I tell you the truth, the Son can do nothing by Himself; He can do only what He sees His Father doing, because whatever the Father does the Son also does.’

Giving God control means following His example, do what He did and what He tells us to do as we humbly seek His will over our own! God is in control of all things, but is He in control of you? Living a life of humble surrender, is what God is looking for.
