To trust in God can be described in several ways.
- To place our confidence in God. To be confident in God.
- To depend on God.
- Trust also speaks of the future and things that are not yet a reality and as such trusting God includes the aspect of hope.
- To trust God is to rely on His character, ability and strength.
- It is a complete assurance and certainty regarding the character, ability and strength of God.
Trust speaks of confidence, dependence, faith, hope and reliance. The opposite would be doubt, skepticism, suspicion and uncertainty.
