We all have moments when we feel weak. We all have times when we come to the all-important realization that we can do nothing without God. These moments can have positive effect on our lives if we allow them to encourage a dependence on God, within our lives. The best of Christians are challenged most of the time by circumstances and situations that they face. If we have to handle everything on our own we will have reason to be fearful. If God is with us we can be courageous.
We are courageous when we have resolve and strength within our hearts. It is a quality of mind or temperament that enables us to stand fast in the face of opposition, hardship, or danger. It can also mean that we are brave. But more than this it is also a capacity to face and endure danger or challenge. When we have courage we have the ability to stand, we have staying power. We cannot do this on our own. It is only with God that we can truly be courageous.
