SCRIPTURE READING: Psalm 121:1-8
I lift up my eyes to the hills. From where does my help come?
My help comes from the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth.
He will not allow your foot to slip; your Protector will not slumber.
Behold, the Protector of Israel will neither slumber nor sleep.
The LORD is your Keeper; the LORD is the shade on your right hand.
The sun will not strike you by day, nor the moon by night.
The LORD will guard you from all evil; He will preserve your soul.
The LORD will watch over your coming and going, both now and forevermore.
IT IS TIME TO LIFT UP OUR EYES
Sometimes when we have been through a season or a time of issues and struggles it can leave us feeling discouraged and tired. The picture of someone whose head is hanging down reflects such a state. We all go through seasons like this at some stage in life and we can be left feeling bereft. Perhaps your strength is gone, you are tired of the battle, and it seems like this time period has been going on for a long time. But now is the time to lift up our heads and to lift up our eyes off the difficulties and challenges and to look to God for the next season and His help in a new future.
