WHEN WE ARE IN RIGHT-STANDING WITH GOD, WE SET OURSELVES UP FOR SUCCESS

Joshua 7:13 ‘Ritually consecrate yourselves for tomorrow, because the Lord God of Israel says, “You are contaminated, O Israel! You will not be able to stand before your enemies until you remove what is contaminating you.”

Contaminated – containing foreign or lower-grade substances. It can also mean polluted and weakened. The implication here is that if we deal with and remove those things that contaminate us, we will be able to stand before our enemies and God will give us victory and success. What can contaminate us?

A. Things we have done.
B. Things that have been done to us.
C. Things we have said.
D. Things that have been said to us.
E. Attitudes.
F. Sin.

But how can we deal with these issues?

A. By stopping and considering things.
B. Confession.
C. Repentance.
D. Consciously giving of ourselves (Surrender) to God.

OUR FUTURE WITH GOD IS FULL OF PROMISE

Joshua 3:5 Joshua told the people, “Consecrate yourselves, for tomorrow the LORD will do amazing things among you.”

Tomorrow speaks of the future. The promise is that the LORD will do amazing things. We can look forward with hope and confidence as we trust God for the future. It is the best way to live – life that is consecrated to God. You can have a great tomorrow even if the global economy looks depressed. You can have a great future even if your company is busy down-sizing. You can enjoy a life full of promise even if circumstances don’t look promising. Prevailing conditions do not need to have the final say in matters concerning your life. Why? Because God is not subject to those conditions. He can make a way where there seems to be no way. Let us dedicate and consecrate our lives, individually and as families to Him
