SUSTAINED SO THAT WE CAN ENDURE
God wants to sustain us so that we can endure until we see a breakthrough. I believe that God has a breakthrough in store for each one of us. We must not give up too soon or become impatient. We must allow God to sustain us so that we can endure until we get to the point of victory and release. 
Psalm 54:4 God is my help; the Lord is the one who sustains me.
Often we face seasons that we do not understand or cannot see the purpose in, BUT God has a plan. He will help you.

SUSTAINED OVER TIME
God does not simply want to sustain in short bursts. God wants us to know His on-going sustaining power each day of life. There is an interesting story in the Old Testament. It concerns the nation of Israel. They left Egypt and wandered in a wilderness for forty years. This was a difficult and extended period for them. Yet God sustained them through it all. 
Nehemiah 9:21 For forty years You sustained them in the desert; they lacked nothing, their clothes did not wear out nor did their feet become swollen.
This is what can happen when God sustains us. Even the things that would usually wear out and bring extra trouble will last. In all those years God never deserted His people. He sustained through the entire experience. God wants to do the same for you and for me.
