A door is a common object, but a very necessary one. Imagine a room with no door. It would be practically useless. A door makes what a room offers useful. We have a door and His name is Jesus
WHO IS THE DOOR
Jesus is the door. He is the door to all that God has promised you and me. He is the door to life and life in abundance.
John 10:9 ‘I am the door.’
The picture Jesus is using here is of a shepherd and sheep. The door is the door to the sheepfold. This is one of the humblest types of door.
THE NEED FOR THE DOOR
Without a door you cannot access something. A door is a point of access. It makes the room usable Because there is access to God, through the door of Jesus, we can get hold of all that God has in store for us. As a result we can have access to God. We can have access to His peace. We can have access to His truth. We can have access to His Salvation. We can have access to His presence. We can have access to heaven. All through the door of Jesus.
