WHAT DOES GOD PROMISE?
God’s promises cover almost every aspect of our lives. There are promises concerning health. There are promises concerning provision and supply. There are promises of protection. There are promises of eternal life. There are promises for individuals and groups. There are promises that hold for a moment. And others that hold for eternity. There are general promises and personal promises. God’s promises can include every aspect of our lives.
GOD’S PROMISES CAN BE DEPENDED ON
You can depend on God’s promises.
2 Corinthians 1:20 ‘For all the promises of God in Him, are yea and in Him Amen, to the glory of God by us.’
Yea is a Greek word and amen is a Hebrew word. They were used to give certainty. The writer is endeavoring to convince both Greeks and Hebrews that God’s promises are sure and we can depend on them. Today these same words are there to reassure you and me that God’s promises can be depended on.
