HE TOOK DECISIVE STEPS TO HELP US OUT!

God’s first step was to promise them deliverance from the curse which Satan and sin had brought on them.

Genesis 3:14-15  So the LORD God said to the serpent: “Because you have done this, you are cursed more than all cattle, and more than every beast of the field; on your belly you shall go, and you shall eat dust all the days of your life.  And I [God the Father] will put enmity between you [satan] and the woman [Eve], and between your seed [all the children of the devil] and her Seed [Jesus, the Seed of Mary]; He [Jesus] shall bruise your head [that is what Jesus did to satan on the cross], and you [satan] shall bruise His heel [refers to the suffering Jesus went through for us when He died on the cross].”

This promise in verse 15 is called the Proto-evangelium, and is regarded as God’s initial promise that He would help us out of our predicament of being under the curse and of having lost our relationship with God as one of His family members.

God did something symbolic that pointed forward through the Old Testament  sacrifices to the ultimate sacrifice of Jesus on the cross for us!
God did this by providing clothes for Adam and Eve from animal skins that obviously were killed for this purpose.

Genesis 3:21 “Also for Adam and his wife the LORD God made tunics of skin, and clothed them.”
