It was the Apostle John who laid his head on the chest of Jesus. This is the way in which we can hear His heartbeat. It is a call to intimacy with God.
The greatest danger is when we allow our hearts to become hard towards God. Hard hearts are the greatest cause of getting out of step with God. We need to keep our hearts tender towards God.
Perhaps you have become discouraged and as a result your heart, towards God is a little hard or perhaps a little cold. I want to encourage you to keep your heart open and tender towards God, don’t allow anything to get in the way.
Joshua 23:8 But follow the Lord your God just as you have until now.
Let’s press on to experiencing more of God and to catch that beat of His heart. If we will stay in step with God we can know that God has good things in store for us.
1. THINGS WILL BE ALRIGHT
1 Samuel 12:14 Now if you will fear and worship the Lord, and listen to his commandments and not rebel against the Lord, and if both you and your king follow the Lord your God, then all will be well.
2. THE PROMISES WILL BE FULFILLED
2 Kings 21:8 If the people of Israel will only follow the instructions I gave them through Moses, I will never again expel them from this land of their fathers.
3. WE CAN KNOW REAL HAPPINESS
Psalm 119:2-3 Happy are all who search for God and always do his will, rejecting compromise with evil and walking only in his paths.
What a reward!
