1 Chronicles 4:10 And Jabez called on the God of Israel saying, “Oh, that You would bless me indeed.”
It sounds like a selfish prayer. Can we really ask God to bless us? I believe we can. It is a legitimate request. To know God’s blessing on our lives means to know His favour.
Psalm 25:12-13 Where is the man who fears the Lord? God will teach him how to choose the best. He shall live within God’s circle of blessing, and his children shall inherit the earth.
When last did you ask God to bless you? I believe that this can apply to every area of our lives. Our health, our families, our finances and every other area of our lives.
1 Chronicles 4:10 And Jabez called on the God of Israel saying, “Oh, that You would bless me indeed, and enlarge my territory.”
This must have been a literal prayer in terms of a physical territory. God wants us to be practical in the things we do. God wants to enlarge our borders. He wants us to take more ground in every area of life. As a student takes more ground in his studies or as a businessman would take more ground in his business and extend his influence, so God wants each of us to take more ground as He extends our territory. What are your goals? Write them down and begin to ask God to enlarge your territory so that you can begin to realize the dreams that lie within your heart.
