It is so easy to think that all we have achieved is to our personal credit when in fact everything is a result of God’s favour and grace towards us. We can develop a ‘self-made’ attitude. Such an attitude is actually a form of pride.
We need to get to that point where we are so moved by what God has done for us that we spontaneously lay down our crowns before Him. This should be our attitude now already and not just on that day when we see Him face to face. We should already be practicing here what will be a reality one day.
Jeremiah 9:23-24 This is what the LORD says: “Let not the wise boast of their wisdom or the strong boast of their strength or the rich boast of their riches, but let the one who boasts boast about this: that they have the understanding to know Me, that I am the LORD, who exercises kindness, justice and righteousness on earth, for in these I delight,” declares the LORD.
