God wants this to become a reality in our lives.  We need to come to this realisation in our hearts that not only does God want to never leave us but also He goes a step further and tells us that He wants to be with us.  This is another promise.

Joshua 1:5 I will be with you just as I was with Moses; I will not abandon you or fail to help you.

The promise that God wants to be with us is something that we can grab hold of and make our own.

Judges 6:16 Lord said to him, “But I, Jehovah, will be with you!”

This is what God would have us know: ‘I WILL BE WITH YOU.’ Sometimes we automatically expect that this means that we will face no troubles.   The truth of the matter is that we will face troubles, but the joy is that we can know that God is with us in trouble and wants to carry us through troubles.

Isaiah 43:2 When you go through deep waters and great trouble, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown! When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up—the flames will not consume you.
Psalm 91:15 When he calls on me, I will answer; I will be with him in trouble and rescue him and honor him.

God wants to be by your side as you go through life and face the different challenges and obstacles that life may bring your way.
