Perhaps you realise today that God is at work within your heart. Maybe you know that He is allowing your heart to be purified. I desire to have a pure heart and I am sure the same is true for you.
However, life happens and in the process we pick up hurts, disappointment or exposure to things that have left a marked effect on our lives. It is at this point that we need to return to God and give Him our broken, damaged and polluted hearts and ask Him to do a miracle and to create something new. This is a legitimate request. The writer in psalms asked God to do this for him and you and I can ask God to do the same for us.
Psalm 51:10 ‘Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me.’
Embrace the work that God is doing in your heart. It the surest way to get to where you need to be. If this is what you need today, then ask God to do just that!
