LIVE YOUR LIFE IN HIM

Colossians 2:6-7 ‘So then, just as you received Jesus Christ as Lord, continue to live your lives in Him, rooted and built up in Him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness.’

As a child of God, Jesus should be all the world to us. Is Jesus all the world to you? How do we live our lives in Him?
BE ROOTED IN HIM
Let Him be your sure foundation and let Him be your rock. As believers we should be established, firm and fixed in Christ.  We should not be blown around by every wind of doctrine. We should not be swayed by prevailing pressures.  Our rooting or our anchoring should remain secure.  We should not allow any form of eroding of our rooting to take place. Our roots should go down deep.

Colossians 2:7 ‘Let your roots grow down into Him!’

BE BUILT UP IN HIM
Our lives should be built on Him.

Colossians 2:7 ‘Let your lives be built on Him.’

Our lives should be grounded on Him.  This happens as we know His word and obey His word.  Being built up speaks of an on-going process of becoming more and more like our precious Christ.  We should follow His example.   We should live our lives in such a way that it brings honour and praise to Him.
