Bondage can come from without.  This can include things that have been done to us.
It can include injustices that we have faced.

Luke 13:11 ‘A woman was there who had been crippled by a spirit for eighteen years. She was bent over and could not straighten up at all.’

This lady had been crippled by a spirit (an external factor) that had come upon her.  The result was that she came under a physical bondage and she was bent over for 18 years and could not straighten up at all. Imagine the bondage, the humiliation, the limitations and the pain. Some other translations speak of an ‘evil spirit’ or a ‘disabling spirit’ or an ‘afflicting spirit’, but most translations use the term ‘a spirit of infirmity’. Bondage came about through this outside influence. We don’t know the reasons, but it happened.
