If we will steer clear of sin and wrong we can also expect God’s blessing on our lives. Sin has a way of robbing us of what God wants to bless us with. Sin is a momentary pleasure that robs us of the lasting joys that God has for us.
Isaiah 56:2 blessed is the man who checks himself from doing wrong.
If you are endeavoring to live right, you can expect to be blessed.
Psalm 1:1 Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked or stand in the way of sinners or sit in the seat of mockers.
THE ROLE OF DISCIPLINE
This is an interesting one. Correction and discipline are not always easy aspects. But the Bible tells us that whose whom God disciplines and corrects are blessed. Do you know anyone who experiencing a time of correction and discipline?
Job 5:17 Blessed is the man whom God corrects
Psalm 94:12 Blessed is the man you discipline, O LORD
God corrects us because He loves us and if we will embrace this we can be sure that there is a blessing on us.
