We give attention to the things that fascinate us.
Galileo was fascinated with the heavens and it occupied him. It kept him busy his entire life. He was consumed with the thing that fascinated him. He was preoccupied with stars, planets and the heavens. He was engrossed in his fascination. He was his happiest when starlight filled his eyes. When are you the happiest?
A fascination is something that is irresistibly attractive to us. This is how it should be with God. He should be attractive to us – having the power to attract and draw us. And that this drawing power of God should be irresistible to us. Commanding our interest and attention.
