Recently in our family we celebrated my daughter’s birthday. She wanted a cake that she could decorate herself. We purchased a cake mix together with an icing mix in order to make this cake. We also purchased the additional ingredients that the recipe called for, oil, milk and eggs. The next day my wife poured the mixture into a mixing bowl and added the salt, oil, milk and eggs. As she broke the last egg into the bowl it turned out to be a bad egg. It was pitch black in colour and had an awful odour. Nothing could be saved. Everything had to be thrown away and we had to return to the shops and start all over again. The one egg destroyed the whole mixture.
