WHERE IS YOUR FOCUS?
It starts by evaluation where our focus lies. What are we focusing on and what do we allow our minds to dwell on.
In South Africa, where I live, many people live in fear of crime and violence. It eventually affects every aspect of their waking lives. It even begins to affect how they see other people and robs them of their ability to trust! As people constantly focus on their fears they become fearful and fear ridden. Where is your focus?
Colossians 3:1-2 Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things.
Bringing balance into the arena of our thoughts starts as we begin to adjust our focus. When we look down we inevitably see all the problems, but when we lift our vision and our focus we can begin to see things from a different perspective and begin to place our trust in God.
