Dealing with disappointment through forgiveness

1 Samuel 1:27
‘I prayed for this child, and the LORD has granted me what I asked of Him.’

Disappointed
Perhaps the greatest key of all is the key of forgiveness. It is also one of the most difficult steps to take. Forgiveness means letting go of our disappointment.  This is not always easy but it is essential that we get to that point if we are ever going to overcome disappointment.

Matthew 6:14-15 Your heavenly Father will forgive you if you forgive those who sin against you; but if you refuse to forgive them, he will not forgive you.

Even Jesus understood this important action and left us an example of how to handle disappointment.

Luke 23:34 “Father, forgive these people,” Jesus said, “for they don’t know what they are doing.”

Forgiveness is a choice and a free gift that only you can give.
