God’s advice to us is that we should not let our hearts become troubled.
John 14:1“Let not your heart be troubled. You are trusting God, now trust in me.”
The fact that Jesus spoke these words indicates to me that we have a degree of control over the condition of our hearts. We can allow our hearts to become troubled and distressed or we can allow our hearts to trust. Jesus knew what people were facing and He had the right advise for them. His advice has not changed; it is still the same today. ‘Let NOT your hearts be troubled.’
