Building on a sure foundation brings lasting results. On a trip to England I visited a cathedral that was built 1000 years ago. It is a magnificent structure that dominates the entire landscape and had done so for centuries.
This is how it is with our lives. If we build correctly on the sure & strong foundations, we can build something that will last long after we are gone. Building on a sure foundation brings lasting results. The Bible tells us that to build on something sure is wise!
Matthew 7:24–25 Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock.
