This is the way that God works. He uses people to bring about His plan and purpose. There are many examples of this fact in the Bible. God used all types of people. Sometimes He used kings and at other times He used shepherds and young people.
Psalm 139:3 You chart the path ahead of me and tell me where to stop and rest. Every moment You know where I am.
In order for God to fulfill His plans and purposes He used David who later became the king. He also used Moses, with all of his faults. God wants to use you and me so that His plan and His purpose will come to fulfillment.
