We never reach the limits of God. Knowing God is not a matter of knowledge or things that we have learned. But to ‘know’ God is the reality of an experience. It happens as we touch Him and as we are touched by Him. You can’t know God by hearsay. You have got to experience Him for yourself. Go for God. Close to God’s heart is the place that we a Christian should live.
AW Tozer said the following: ‘I can only say that if God gives you a rose without giving Himself, He is giving you a thorn. If God gives you a garden without giving Himself, He is giving you a garden with a serpent. If God gives you wine without the knowledge of God Himself, He is giving you that with which you may destroy yourself.’
Deuteronomy 13:3 Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul.
We need to go after God and love Him. God has given us Himself to love and experience daily. Pursue God with the intention of capturing that something of Himself that He has for you.
