Numbers 21:4–9 and they journeyed …. And the people became impatient (depressed, much discouraged), because [of the trials] of the way.
It is easy to become impatient, depressed and discouraged. Life is not always easy. Things do not always work out as we had planned and hoped. Charles J. Sykes wrote ‘Life is not fair – get used to it!’
We need to be alert to discouragement. Recognizing it when it begins to take root. Dealing with it (discouragement) with determination and ruthlessness. Even the most spiritual can find themselves in this very trap.
