Do you know that the Bible says that two are better than one? (Ecclesiastes 4:9) I’m so glad I’m a married Man! I don’t know how I would cope with life without my wonderful wife. Two are better than one! When you go out on life’s journey having come into the family of God, God says, “I’ve got a new Partner for you.” The new Partner is the Holy Spirit.
In John chapter 14 Jesus is approaching His death on the cross prior to His ascension into Heaven, and He says to His disciples,
verse 18 I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.
When did Jesus do that? He came in the Person of the Holy Spirit on the Day of Pentecost. I believe that every person who has opened his heart to the Lord has the Spirit of God living in him. The Spirit of God not only wants to five in you, but He wants to fill you, and control you, to the glory of God.
John 14:16 And I will pray the Father, and He shall give you another Comforter, that He may abide with you forever.
The word ‘Comforter’ in the Greek (‘Paracletos’,) means ‘One who comes alongside to help.’
