As we become more like the Lord Jesus His nature has come to reside in us, and we are changing on the inside. But it doesn’t take long to realise that inside of us there is not only the nature of Jesus. We soon realise there is another nature in us our old nature, or “the old man” as it is sometimes called. The “old man” rears his ugly head very quickly.
However we need to develop this new nature in our lives. We must allow the Lord Jesus Christ to take complete control of us, so that more and more of the new nature shines through.
Unfortunately at the same time we could make the opposite choice, and satisfy the old nature. The decision in terms of which way you go, rests with you.

2 Peter 1:4 … Whereby are given unto us, exceeding great and precious promises:  that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.
