I believe that God wants this to be a reality in our lives.  He wants us to know, because we have experienced Him, that He is with us.

John 14:15-16 If you love me, obey me; and I will ask the Father and he will give you another Comforter, and he will never leave you.

We have been given the Holy Spirit to walk with us and to constantly make Jesus a living reality to us.

2 Chronicles 13:12 So you see, God is with us; he is our leader.
