The fact that God knows us is a blessing.  We do not need to become fearful.  He knows us because He loves us.

Isaiah 43:1 But now the Lord who created you says: Don’t be afraid, for I have ransomed you; I have called you by name; you are mine.

God’s plan for us is to give us a future and a hope.  We do not need to fearful of the one who loves us.  We can feel secure and re-assured.   It is possible to be able to identify God’s voice when He calls us.

John 10:3 The sheep hear his voice and come to him; and he calls his own sheep by name …. and they follow him, for they recognize his voice.

For those who love god there is the reality of hearing God’s voice.  And being able to identify His voice above all the other voices calling for our attention.

John 10:5 They won’t follow a stranger but will run from him, for they don’t recognize his voice.

God’s voice should be something we know and are familiar with
