As Christians we all long to be considered as disciple of Christ. To be a disciple is to be a follower and a student, one who follows and adheres to the teachings and example of Jesus Christ.  We have the privilege and honor of being His disciples, but what does this mean for each one of us?  If we can understand the dimensions of this aspect, I believe it will revolutionize the way we see ourselves and our relationship with Christ.  And as His disciples we are given the privilege of making disciples, so it is important that we understand what this means.
As a disciple of Christ we can know a closeness and an intimate connection with Him. Jesus would often use parables or stories to communicate with His listeners.   The general public seldom had more than a superficial knowledge of Divine things.   But the disciples had things explained to them.

Mark 4:34 ‘But when He was alone with His own disciples…..’

The disciples would spend time alone with Jesus.  There were times when they would withdraw from the public and be alone with Him. It tells us something about this close and intimate relationship. As His disciples, you and I can know what it means to be alone with Saviour.
