There is a connection between joy and the Holy Spirit. Being full of joy is being full of the Holy Spirit. When we open up to the Holy Spirit, He can bring such joy.
Acts 13:52 The disciples were filled with joy and with the Holy Spirit.
As we pursue the Holy Spirit, joy comes with Him. Notice that it says FILLED with joy – This speaks of a complete joy. One of the greatest joys in my life and in the life of my family has been the relationship with the Holy Spirit. Develop a friendship with the Holy Spirit.
If the Holy Spirit controls our lives then He wants to produce joy in our lives
Galatians 5:22 But when the Holy Spirit controls our lives he will produce this kind of fruit in us: love, JOY, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.
The result of the Holy Spirit’s work in our lives is JOY. It is the natural response to the presence of the Holy Spirit.
