This is what He wants for us. Jesus wants us to experience His joy. And that we may be full of joy.
John 15:11 I have told you this so that you will be filled with my joy. Yes, your cup of joy will overflow!
As we are living a life connected to God, we can experience joy. We can be happy people. God wants us filled with joy. God wants the supply of joy to exceed the capacity we have to contain it. Perhaps the reason is that it will spill over to others.
If Jesus wanted us to have His joy and we don’t, we are missing out. Because He came to give us His joy.
Luke 2:10-11 And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of GREAT JOY , which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.
Great joy to all people. That is the good news of Jesus Christ. He can be the source of our greatest joy. Accepting Jesus is the first and greatest step to experiencing the joy that only He can give.
